Technically written for a flash fiction assignment for my fiction writing workshop class, this is a prequel of sorts to the main story for which my world Gilden was created, about a snippet of backstory of my character Siromsja. You'll notice she's referred to in the story as 'Siromsjos'-- this character is trans and this takes place before her transition, thus she still calls herself Siromsjos, but she's also referred to with she/her pronouns because I didn't want to misgender her for this small piece even if it is timeline accurate, so the story is from the pov of a bird-person who doesn't really know how to distinguish human gender presentation and assumes Siromsjos is a girl. Turns out he guessed right lol
