The Aetherian Republic

The Aetherian Republic is a nation with a long and complex history. It is made up of multiple states, united under a royal crown. This article will contain information on its current state, its history, some of its internal politics, as well as helpful information regarding it.    

Military

The Aetherian military consists of multiple unit types, though one of the most noteworthy is listed below.    

Greatknights

Greatknights, in summary, are superhuman soldiers. They are enhanced with alchemy to be stronger, faster, and smarter, as well as have supernatural reflexes and speed. Their information is deserving of its own page.    

Aetherian States

The Aetherian Republic is split up into eight different states. This section will go into information regarding all of them.  

Royeldon

  Royeldon is the heart of Aetherian politics. It is the state the ruling queen and her family reside in. This state is home to some of the best inventors, philosophers, authors, artists, and all around the most creative minds of the Republic. It is also the most secure state of the Aether, having some of the most elite military forces the Aether can offer. It is also where the various superhuman modification processes of the Aetherian military have been birthed.  

Sauerona

Sauerona is a major industrial state of the Republic. In the past, it had started a civil war with Royeldon in order to try to secede from the Republic; such an attempt failed. The former Tsar of Sauerona was executed and has since been replaced with another leader, who chose to turn from military to industry in order to benefit the Republican whole. It is a major manufacturer of various work tools for many professions, such as anvils, hammers, wood-cutting axes, chisels, farming scythes, and much more.  

Zaton

Zaton is a merchant and industrial state of the Aether. Its trade routes go worldwide, and as such it has grown rather wealthy. Despite this, the majority of large powers within Zaton exercise humility and choose to avoid a prideful and spoiled life. They use their wealth to benefit the entire Republic, porting produced goods across the many states.

Archihemi

Archihemi is a pair of states whose forms of production are known to be opposites. It is on the border of a massive archipelago.  

North Archihemi

North Archihemi is known for its luxury seafood production, as most of the border towns and cities have turned to deep-sea fishing, whaling, and sea-beast hunting in order to make a living and generate produce. Their trade ranges from hides and meats of mighty whales to exotic caviar.

South Archihemi

Despite sharing a landmass with their northern counterparts, the materials they trade are much more expensive and niche. They mine and grow Aerocrystals, which is a requirement for airships, as they cannot fly without them. Despite how niche their industry is, they have grown quite wealthy, as they are the sole producers of Aerocrystals.  

Taluuka

Taluuka is a minor Aetherian state. Despite their small borders, their lands hold a great amount of minerals and ore, and as such it isn't uncommon for workers to immigrate to Taluuka in order to try to grow wealthy.  

Sermant

Sermant is a highly religious state, known for its strong bond with the Order. They oftentimes would rather listen to the Order's commands and requests over the rest of the Republic. This has led them to be the topic of gossip, and often viewed rather negatively by the more nationalistic states. Despite this, they hold their head high, refusing to bow to what is against their beliefs.  

Varis

One of the newest Aetherian states, Varis holds territory in Amnisica, and was formed in the migration to the Amnisican continent. Varis is one of the most resilient and stalwart states of the Aether, as they have faced disaster after disaster, war after war, and have persevered through turmoil many times. They refuse to bow to any attempts to control them. They are stalwart allies with the majority of powers within Amnisica, as they have fought side by side many times.
